On July 10, 2012, a little dog was found tied to a garbage bin outside a No Frills store. When the Humane Society picked the dog up they found that his neck and back were wrapped in bandages and sought out veterinary care immediately. Oliver was brought to Baker Animal Clinic in Whitby and treated by Dr. Cheryl Birss. The poor little guy had to undergo a full anesthetic in order to shave the matted hair and remove the bandages, revealing severe burns over 50% of his body. He is now undergoing extensive continuing treatment for the burns as they heal and has found a fantastic foster home while the Humane Society investigates this case of animal cruelty.
