Cheryl graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2004 and joined the team at Baker Animal Clinic soon after. She grew up in Whitby and was thrilled to return home. Her high school co-op was completed at Baker Animal Clinic, and it was at this time that her decision to become a vet was solidified. She loves to be a part of a team that practices high quality medicine and truly care for our clients and their pets.
Cheryl enjoys all aspect of veterinary medicine, especially being able to get to know our clients and their pets. and feels it’s a privilege to care for pets from their infancy to their senior years. She also has a passion for preventative medicine, pain management, senior care and internal medicine.
Cheryl is the past President of the Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine (TAVM), a past director of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association as well as of the Farley Foundation, a wonderful Ontario Charity that helps a large number of pets (www.farleyfoundation.org). She loves continuing education and feels it is vital to keeping current with new developments in veterinary medicine.
Cheryl spends her free time doing CrossFit, hiking, skiing and loves summers at the cottage. Cheryl has two rescue dogs – Mortimer, a three-legged Boston Terrier and her most recent addition is Cain, a German Shepherd Mix.
