Robert has not been in the vet business for a long time, but he has made a commitment to the field and is almost 2 years here at Baker Animal Clinic. After spending over a decade in the UK, Robert moved back to Canada just before the pandemic. After a long career in office work, he decided to make a huge change and go back to school as a mature student to follow his passion.
After attending Seneca’s Vet Assistant program and graduating in 2021 with a 4.0, Robert spent a brief time getting some voluntary experience at Harmony Road Animal Hospital. After this he joined the Baker team as a valued member.
Robert loves interacting with all the animals and the owners that visit Baker. He currently has a Maltese mix called Odin and recently got a puppy called Buster, a cross of Australian Sheppard and Border Collie. Aside from his love for all animals, Robert has a great interest in music and even released an album and played concerts when he lived in the UK. He also has an extensive ever-growing vinyl collection with over 2000 records to date. If you see Robert (the only male aside from Dr. Sutherland) during your visit, say hi as he enjoys speaking to the many clients at Baker Animal Hospital.
